Booking Justin Beckley Photography as your wedding photographer
Hopefully by now, you’ve had a look at the Wedding Photography images on my website and you love my photos and style as a Wedding Photographer in our beautiful North Devon.
you are welcome to get in touch using my contact form, which includes a few short questions about your wedding as well as a message field where you can let me know a little bit more about your plans. Alternatively, do feel free to email me directly or give me a call for a chat at your convenience.
I will always endeavour to get back to you within 24 hours and if I am available on your date I will also include an overview of my wedding coverage. If you don’t hear back from me within this timeframe, something must have gone awry, so please do give me a prod. Please do have a look at the different Wedding Packages available on my website.
If you’d like to meet, have a chat and see some of my Wedding Portfolio, you are more than welcome to come to my home in Barnstaple, North Devon /or we can meet at a location of your choosing. I’ll show you my Wedding Gallery, including a complete wedding shoot or two. I can also show you samples of my Wedding Albums and how your online digital album will look.
The next step is easy. If you’d like to go ahead and book me as your wedding photographer, all it takes is your signed online contract and a non-refundable booking fee of a ⅓ of your chosen Wedding Photography Package and we’re off.
Please note that I work on a first-come first-served basis in order to be fair to all the couples that I meet. Resultantly, I can only confirm your booking once I have received both of the above from you.
Getting to know your wedding photographer
So, you’ve booked me as your wedding photographer!
With the formalities over, we can start to get to know each other a little better.
The best opportunity for this is your complimentary pre-wedding consultation. Depending on your chosen package, we will also need to arrange your engagement / pre-wedding shoot, which we should plan to do no later than 6 weeks before your wedding.
You may already know when and where you would like it you Engagement Photography to be, or you may be unsure about what would reflect you as a couple best. To this end, I can always come up with a few suggestions that would help you achieve this.
Finally, in the week before your wedding we will have a final pre-wedding consultation, during which we’ll talk through your photography planner. This will help us make a plan for your wedding day that will achieve the images you want, without interfering too much with your plans. I am also happy to come to the Wedding Rehersal, should the need require.
Your wedding day
So it’s finally here! If you have booked the wedding preparations as part of you package, I will arrive on the morning of your wedding day and quietly blend into the background before starting to capture all the beautiful details of your dress, bouquets etc. , along with your and your wedding parties preparations.
Arriving at the church or register office before you, I will capture the groom and his best men, the venue and the congregation. After which, I will capture you arriving at the church or registry office, before photographing your ceremony, the signing of the registry and your departure from the venue.
After this, we will follow the timeline we set out together, although I always allow for some flexibility to account for bad weather or some part of your day overrunning.
I normally try to get your group shots out of the way first, so that we don’t have to worry about them later and after a short break in which you can relax and spend some time with your guests, we might sneak away to your portrait session.
These images will be just of the two of you, similar to your engagement shoot and will show just how gorgeous you two look together on your special day. I promise not to keep you away from your guests and the fun for too long.
During the rest of the day, I will capture many candid shots of your friends and family interacting and laughing with each other and with you. Depending on your chosen Wedding Package, this will include the speeches, the cake cutting and throwing of the bouquet, (if you want to do that), and then I will take a short break while you and your guests sit down for your meal.
Once the light is low, and weather and time permitting, I may take you out for a second much shorter evening portrait session. This is usually the time when all the really different images with creative light or glorious sunsets are made, so they are very much worth doing.
Depending on your Wedding Package, your first dance and the party afterwards will normally form the end of your wedding day story in my images.
Once I have captured this, I will come and find you, congratulate you once more and then take my leave.
What happens next?
I know how much you will want to see your images right away. I get this.
So, in the first couple of days after your wedding, I will normally send a couple of preview photos to share with family and friends.
After this, it takes me anything from 2 to 6 weeks, (depending on your Wedding Photography Package), to edit and retouch each of your images. As soon as the photos are ready, I will send you a link to your own password protected online wedding gallery. Within the Online Wedding Photography Gallery, you will be able to ‘favourite’ the photos you really love, download them as individual images /or as your ‘favourited’ collection and share individually /or collectively to most Social media platforms. You are also welcome to share the Online Gallery with your friends and family, where they too can favourite their own personal choices, download them and share them.
With your wedding images on a Branded USB stick on their way to you soon after, we can talk through your choice of images for your wedding album, if you chose to have one as part of your package. I will design your album with your favourite images in mind and depending on the time of year, your album will normally arrive in around 1 - 2 weeks.
So is this the end?
The end of our wedding photography journey together doesn’t have to mean the end of our friendship or even our photography journey and I hope that you will come back in the future for updated portrait photos of yourselves. (Think anniversary, romantic couple photoshoot. Maybe iven a boudoir shoot to surprise your partner.) Or if you have a little munchkin come along, I would be overjoyed to capture your maternity and baby shoot. Of course there’s also special celebration or maybe you’ve even added a pet to your lives. But more about that when the time comes.
And so after all is done, I would love it if you would leave feedback about your experience with me as your wedding photographer. You can do this, via email, on my Facebook Page, via Google or any other site you deem appropriate.
